Il linguaggio artistico vive nel perenne equilibrio tra immagine definita e immagine evocata, una piena consapevolezza che accomuna i processi di costruzione e de-costruzione pittorica di Adrian Bushmann, Henning Strassburger e Tyra Tingleff nei confronti della figura e che trova la sua fisicità nella scultura segnica ed emotiva di Mia Marfurt. Per Ferdinand de Saussure il segno è l'unione di significante e significato e l’attitudine dei quattro artisti è il medesimo, la definizione di composizioni spontanee, seppur colte e bilanciate, di simboli e vita vissuta in azione pittorica; un modo cosciente e provocatorio per giudicare il mondo dall'esterno. Una sfida continua, attuale e gioiosa, che confina gli artisti in una ricerca profonda e solitaria.
Quattro giovani anarchici dell’immagine contemporanea riaffermano l’importanza di imporre un formulario segnico personale, un processo che dalla comune tesi di “rifiuto” della figura si risolve spontaneamente in quattro attitudini artistiche definite e autonome.
The artists’ language lies in the eternal balance between the real image and the evocative one, a complete awareness joining the Adrian Bushmann, Henning Strassburger e Tyra Tingleff painting composition and de-composition of the figure which finds its structure in Mia Marfurt’s emotional and semiotic sculpture. As to Ferdinand de Saussure, the sign is the union of significance and significant and the attitude of these four artists is the same: the creation of spontaneous, even if cultured and balanced, compositions of symbols and real life by the action of painting; a provoking and conscious way to judge the world from the outside. A continuous, up-to-date and joyful challenge which exiles the artists in their solitary and inner search.
Four young anarchists of the contemporary image who reassert the importance of imposing a personal dictionary of signs, a process which, from the common thesis of “refusing” the image ends up spontaneously in four indipendent and clear artistic aptitudes.

Adrian Buschmann
b. Kattowitz, 1976. Lives and works in Vallebona
Nel suo lavoro si fondono astrazione e figurazione entrambi supportati da una profonda conoscenza del disegno. L’immagine reale è per Buschmann un viatico per la costruzione di un mondo alternativo, materia da far filtrare attraverso un raro stato meditativo ed emotivo. Il segno definisce composizioni che si concludono o si sospendono, non finiti cromatici che suggeriscono forme astratte e soggetti in continua evoluzione. E’ laureato alla Berlin University of Art. Tra i suoi recenti solo-shows Rendl-Wittmann & Buschmann, with Rosa Rendl, al Parallel di Vienna, George Michael Jackson at Strabag Artaward di Vienna. Tra i suoi recenti group-shows Destination Wien alla Kunsthalle Wien di Vienna, Time to Fill up the Glass alla Crone di Berlino e Eye Know alla Hochhaus Herrengasse di Vienna, Inoltre nel 2015 Buschmann avrà una personale al Mocak Museum di Cracovia.
In his work, abstraction and form merge, both supported by a deep knowledge of drawing technique. The real image is, to Buschmann, a “viaticum” for the creation of an alternative world, that is, the material to be filtered through a rare pondering and emotional state of mind. The sign characterizes works which end or interrupt suddenly, unfinished chromatic series which suggest abstract forms and subjects in continuous evolution. Buschmann graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts. Recent exibithions include: Rendl-Wittmann & Buschmann solo-show with Rosa Rendl, at Parallel of Wien, George Michael Jackson solo-show at Strabag Artaward of Wien. Moreover, Buschmann will exhibit in 2015 in a solo-show at MOCAK Museum of Cracovia.
Mia Marfurt
b. Zurigo, 1985. Lives and works in Zurigo
Il suo lavoro si compone principalmente di effigi contemporanee impresse digitalmente su supporti inediti, assecondandone sovente la forma iniziale o definendo nuove matrici strutturali. Un lavoro tendenzialmente ri-costruttivo quello di Marfurt, in bilico tra installazione e pittura analogica che valica i confini delle pratiche tradizionali e attribuisce nuova bellezza ad un racconto passato o coevo. E’ laureata in Storia dell’Arte all’università di Zurigo e sta attualmente frequentando l’Autocenter Summer Accademy a Berlino. Tra i suoi recenti solo-shows Soft And Hard Factors alla WallRiss di Friburgo, Deutsche Oper da SALTS di Basilea e Heavy Cloud alla Froh Aussicht di Samstagern. Tra i suoi recenti group-shows A Form is a Social Gatherer alla Plymouth Rock di Zurigo e Constructed Culture Sounds Like Conculture alla Ellis King di Dublino.
Her work is mainly made of contemporary effigies digitally printed on innovative supports, often keeping the original form or sometimes setting new structural matrixes. Marfurt’s is a work which is tendencially a work of re-contruction, hovering between installation and analogical painting, which crosses over the traditional techniques limits and gives a new beauty to a contemporary or old “tale”. Mia Marfurt graduated from Art History, Universität Zürich, Switzerland and is currently studying at the Autocenter Summer Academy, Berlin, Germany. Henning Strassburger
b. Meißen, 1983. Lives and works in Berlino
La cultura trash-pop da rotocalco e l’opulenza delle immagini tratte dal vissuto quotidiano e dal web, sembrano essere il codice grafico da cui nasce il lavoro di Strassburger che evidenzia, ridicolizza ed archivia la società consumistica e superficiale dell’oggi. Un alfabeto di segni e tonalità stridenti, lasciati volutamente fluttuare in fondi neutrali, sono la risultanza di composizioni informali in bilico tra pittura ed happening e sempre inevitabilmente legati ai titoli che ne completano i significanti. E’ laureato alla Kunstakademie di Düsseldorf. The illustrated news magazines’ trash-pop culture and the abundance of images taken from everyday life and from the web seem to represent the graphic code from which the Strassburger’s work starts and which highlights, ridicules and files today’s fatuous and consumers’ society. An alphabet of clashing signs and shades, intentionally left floating in neutral backgrounds are the result of informal compositions balancing between painting and “happening” and always inevitably linked to their titles which complete their signifiers. Strassburger graduated from Kunstakademie of Düsseldorf. Tyra Tingleff
b. Hønefoss, 1984. Lives and works in Berlino
Il suo lavoro pittorico è un gioco tra ciò che è reale e ideale. Nelle sue tele svanisce il principio dei soggetti predominanti; una sfocatura applicata ai contorni pone costantemente sullo stesso piano cognitivo ciò che è importante a ciò che è apparentemente trascurabile. Con un processo di stratificazione segnica l’artista aggiunge - sottraendo alla vista - un processo di germinazione per riverberi e traslazioni, in bilico tra casualità e programmazione preordinata. E’ laureata in Pittura al Royal College of Art di Londra. Tra I suoi recenti solo-show Closer Scrub da SALTS di Basilea, Tyra Tingleff da Studiolo di Milano, Rød er Blå alla Tidens Krav di Oslo, When you put colour on top of colour you get black! da Peinture et Sculpture di Copenhagen. Her paintings are like a game between what is real and what is ideal. In her canvas, the concept of predominant subjects desappear; a blurring constantly applied on the outlines keep on putting at the same level of knowledge what is important and what is apparently negligible. Thanks to a sign stratification process, the artist adds – by removing from sight – a sprout process coming from reflections and translations and balancing between casualty and preordinated organisation. Tingleff is graduated in MA Painting from the Royal College of Art of London.
